Random Acts Club · A movement of kindness
Look for a chance to be kind.
Then take it.
Random Acts Club is for anyone who wants to make the world a little better, one small act at a time. No sign-up, no permission, no reason needed.
“Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness.”
The idea
Kindness, on purpose.
When you see an opportunity to do something kind, take it. Better still, go looking for one. Find reasons and ways to do the right thing, to help someone out, to make a day a little easier.
-
Notice
Opportunities are everywhere once you start looking: a door, a line, a neighbor, a stranger having a hard day.
-
Act
Do the kind thing, right then. It doesn't need to be big. It only needs to be done.
-
Let it go
No thanks required. If you can, slip away before anyone knows it was you.
Why anonymous
Even better when no one knows it was you.
When a kindness arrives without a name attached, the person receiving it can simply enjoy it. There is no one to thank, nothing to repay, no need to react in any particular way. It lands fully, and it stays with them.
That's why we encourage anonymity whenever it's possible. And when it isn't, that's fine. Doing the kind thing at all is what matters most.
What if you were kind just to be kind?
Need a place to start?
